Today in class we´re talking about posting favorites, so I thought I would take you back and show you 5 of my personal favorites in terms of layouts from when I started to scrap back in 2007.
I remember seing this idea of making a LO based on a list of things you love, on so many different blogs at that time, and really enjoying getting to know bits and pieces of the women behind the blogs this way. Looking back at it I´m so glad I made it, because it tells the story of who I was at that point in time in a quite simple way. Making me think about doing it again soon.
This layout still makes me smile, because I still LOVE stamps although there´s no stamping of any kind on it! The layer effect of the paper, mesh, photo, journaling label and accents makes it a favorite of mine. Still something I´m working on, when putting together a LO.
This one makes the list as it was really fun to make. It was for a danish scrapbooking competition, where we had to make a layout using just one colour. Anyway, going through my huge stash of scrapbooking suppllies, picking out anything and everything red, really got my creative juices going. So recommendoable (and you get a fresh look at what you have too). Definitely a favorite way of getting inspired by what you have on hand allready.
Since I don´t have kids yet, my scrapbooking tends to focus on the adventures and life in general with my lovely boyfriend Mads. This LO is still a favorite because of the punched squares and half-circles with rub-ons on them. And just the small story/memory of a great day spend together in Copenhagen.
The sketch for this LO makes this one a fave too, because it´s so easy and quick to do. And it combines three of my favorite things about scrapping (besides words and photo of course) which is pattern paper, see-throughs and paint. Love it!
Speaking of see-throughs, I will show you this little album of mine on monday...
